The story happened in the world of Encantadia….

Encantadia was divided into four kingdoms: Adamya, Sapiro, Lireo and Hathoria.

Adamya is situated in the Southern tip of Encantadia. It is the home of the little people. These small yet intelligent people are called Adamians and are the keepers of the Jewel of Water. The kingdom is headed by Imaw, a wise and faithful ruler, who possesses a staff that enables him to look into the past of a particular person.

On the North of Encantadia is the King of Sapiro. It is the land of valiant, shrewd and cunning warriors, the Sapirians. This kingdom is the original keeper of the Jewel of Earth, the land blessed with precious metals and stones. The Sapirians are similar to the Diwatas , they can also teleport themselves to another place. They also have the ability to heal itself or others of a disease or any kinds of wounds. The Sapirians are best known for their unmatched skills in both swordsmanship and sword fighting. Armeo was the former King of Sapiro and the father of Ybrahim. The cousin of Armeo and the father of Amihan, Prince Raquim, taught Ybarro a.k.a. Ybrahim how to fight better and stronger.

The land of the encantados and diwatas is the Kingdom of Lireo, bounded in the East. This Kingdom is the Keeper of the Jewel of Air. Sang’gres (members of the royal family in Lireo) has the ability to teleport. Lirean society is matriarchal, meaning that women carry higher civil status than their male counterparts. The Queen of the Diwatas carries the title of “Ynang Reyna”. Minea is the mother of the four Keepers of Jewels namely Pirena (fire), Amihan(wind), Alena(water) and Danaya(earth). Pirena is the smartest among the four Sang’gres for she is expert in planning. Amihan is actually not a pureblooded Diwata because she is ½ Diwata like her mother and ½ Sapirian like her father. Alena’s voice possesses a magical power to love, soothe, kill and even hypnotize. Danaya is the youngest of the four Sang’gres. Though the youngest, she is the most fearless and level-headed among the Sang’gres. Each Sang’gres has a twin spirit guide. Alipato for Pirena, Aqua for Alena, Avilan for Amihan and Aure for Danaya.

On the Western border is the Kingdom of Hathoria. It is where the militaristic, vicious and power-famished Hathors abound. It is the home of dangerous beings, bounded by treacherous terrains and caverns. Hathors are known throughout Encantadia for their prowess in battle and superior knowledge in the arts of war. Hagorn is the King of the Hathors.

Encantadia has its own heaven, hell and as well as a purgatory. Devas is considered the heaven of Encantadia, and also the home of Bathala. Limbo is the place between the Encantadia and Devas. It is a floating island guarded by a black dragon named Arde. Balaak is considered hell of the Diwatas.

The story didn’t revolve only in the world of Encantadia but also in the human world as well. It can be found outside the dimension of Encantadia and the portal between the two worlds is the Tree of Asnamon.
